NUGGET IN THE WORD

In this section you will find small bits of wisdom taken from some of Pastor Whitt's teachings that can help as you apply them.  As you meditate on them, purpose to incorporate them into your daily life  with the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit; then, see how these nuggets can transform your life. 

Change
is something we sometimes find hard to do.  Change can at times be painful although many times necessary in order to be conformed to God's will for our lives.

God doesn't   change, we know that from His Word. (Malachi 3:6) But His methods sometimes change. His purposes won't change, but He can change circumstances to eventually accomplish His will. When we are submitted to His will and purposes, we definitely will change. How will we change?

Time in His presence! Time in God's presence will not only draw you into a closer relationship with Him, it will also yield much more production from your life. (Psalm 16:11) Think about it! The Almighty God of heaven and earth, Creator of all, desires a relationship with you and wants to let you in on His plan for your life. That won't just happen because you are saved. It takes some effort on your part to seek Him.

In His presence you can expect to find peace that passes all understanding; a loving Father who wants to make sure you have all you need to accomplish His will for your life and clear direction for your every day.

As you begin your quest to seek Him, remember that  you are in relationship with Him and that a good relationship can be marked by good communication between the parties involved. So don't leave your time with Him without giving Him the opportunity to speak back to you.  In other words, don't do all the talking and then leave without expecting God to speak back to you.

Spend time in His Word. Get to know the language of God.  He speaks faith. Your fluent faith language will increase as you spend time reading and meditating on the Word of God. If you ever go to a foreign country to stay for awhile, you may be able to function for a season without knowing the language, but after a while it can become frustrating if you constantly get poached eggs when you thought you were asking for scrambled. So learn the language.

And finally, don't give up.  See what beautiful things will happen as you Discipline yourself to spend time in His presence.  Make the decision to change,  dedicate yourself to Him and you will see wonderful change come.
